Denne modulen inneholder eksempler på ulike varianter av polyrytmen tre over to. Hvordan eksemplene originalt er notert er ikke vektlagt her, det er den auditive opplevelsen av polyrytmen som er utgangspunkt for valg av eksempler. Eksempelvis er “He’s a pirate” originalt notert i 12/8. Melodistemmen er ikke notert med trioltegn, men gjennom bruk av de åttendelene som ligger implisitt i det tredelte grunnslaget. Melodirytmen oppleves like fullt som et forløp bestående av fjerdedelstrioler, og kan i pedagogisk sammenheng egne seg godt som eksempel på polyrytmen tre over to.

This module presents examples of various variants of the polyrhythm three over two. The original notation of the examples is not emphasized here; rather, the auditory experience of the polyrhythm serves as the basis for selecting the examples. For instance, “He’s a pirate” was originally notated in 12/8. The melody line is not indicated with triplet marks, but rather through the use of the implied eighth notes in the triple foundation. However, the melody rhythm is still perceived as a sequence consisting of quarter note triplets, making it well-suited as an educational example of the three over two polyrhythms.
