About

This film is a part of a series of 12 films produced for an online counselling course for practice coordinators in health services. The films consist of different counselling situations and dilemmas/situations and students may find themselves in. In the films we follow different characters, both student and supervisors in practice situations and before and after in conversation with the supervisor. The films are a part of a low threshold online course for employees in municipalities across Norway who have students in training at their workplace as a part of their education.

Pedagogical value

The films will be used in an online course for practice supervisors in the health sciences. The aim of the course is to raise awareness of employees in the municipal sector who have students with them in practice of different situations and dilemmas they may encounter as supervisors. The films are structured as case films where we follow a selection of students and supervisors in supervision situations and in both pre- and post-supervision. The students carry out so-called interprofessional practice together with other health professions, such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, etc. Through a total of 12 films, we take part in home visits to patients with students and supervisors, with the aim of creating recognition and further reflection. The films are short fiction films that are produced by professional communities and video producers in collaboration using paid actors.

Identity is shaped by, among other things, a shared language, culture, and history. This short documentary offers insight into how two Southern Sami sisters perceive their identity, what they take pride in and the challenges they navigate.
