About
The Science Center of Northern Norway (Nordnorsk vitensenter Tromsø) slogan is «We make science a game, but do not play science» and this is exactly what they do. The center focuses on learning science in a fun and innovative way, and therefore TREFF is pleased to announce them as an official collaborator for our festival.
One of the things The Science Center is known for is their «dome» where they are screening 360° videos for the purpose of education and mediation of science. At TREFF we welcome new ways to show videos and want the participants at the festival to experience and learn how to use 360° videos for their own education. Therefore, a part of the program for the festival will find place at the Science Center of Northern Norway where 360° videos will be screened and brought up as a tool for education.
They also have a movable dome that will be present as part of an exhibition at UiT during the festival. Here we will invite all the participants, but also people around the festival to enter for free. Here you can enjoy different 360° videos made for educational purposes.
We also hope that this will be an annual event at the festival.
What will the audience get?
360° video
There will be screened 360° videos.
Lunch
There will be served lunch at the planetarium.
Presentation
There will be an educator that uses 360° video in their education present to talk about it as a pedagogical tool.
Networking
During the breaks and during the lunch there will be opportunities to talk with other participants, but also contributors to the festival.
