Disse kursmodulene er utformet noe annerledes enn tradisjonelle kurs. Modulene er laget etter inspirasjon fra s\u00e5kalte MOOC-kurs, og kjennetegnes i f\u00f8rste rekke ved at deltakelsen i stor grad kan styres av den enkelte kursdeltaker, etter behov og deltakermuligheter. Videre kjennetegnes de ved at det gj\u00f8res \u00e5pent tilgjengelig en rekke digitale l\u00e6ringsressurser \u2013 fra videoer til tradisjonelle vitenskapelige artikler.
