Det samiske samfunnet (de samiske samfunnene?) er mangfoldig og elevene har rett til \u00e5 l\u00e6re om ulike samiske perspektiver og ulike aspekter ved samisk kultur og samfunn. Dette vil blant annet si \u00e5 ikke basere undervisningen p\u00e5 stereotypiske fortellinger om samer.<span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;font-size: 15px\"> Disse stereotypiene har blant annet bakgrunn i et essensialistisk syn p\u00e5 kultur. Et essensialistisk syn vil si at kulturen har en &laquo;essens&raquo;, en fast kjerne best\u00e5ende av felles<span> verdier, regler og normer som endres lite over tid.<\/span> E<\/span><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;font-size: 15px\">ssensialisering, samt et fokus p\u00e5 forskjellene mellom norsk og samisk kultur, har tidligere v\u00e6rt viktig i kampen for samiske rettigheter og for revitalisering av samiske kulturuttrykk. I dag kan det v\u00e6re begrensende og gi et mangelfullt bilde av hva samisk(e) kultur(er) er. Dette kultursynet kritiseres fordi det nettopp ikke tar hensyn til at kulturer endrer seg. P\u00e5 samme m\u00e5te som at norsk kultur ser annerledes ut i dag enn for 50, 100 og 200 \u00e5r siden, har samisk kultur endret seg gjennom \u00e5rene. Et essensialistisk kultursyn st\u00e5r i motsetning til et dynamisk kultursyn, hvor kultur skapes i m\u00f8tene mellom mennesker og derfor er i stadig endring. Dette kan ogs\u00e5 beskrives som at kultur ikke er noe man har, men er heller noe man gj\u00f8r <a href=\"#referanser\">(2)<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;font-size: 15px\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;font-size: 15px\">I vurderingen av hva som skal inkluderes i undervisningen, kan l\u00e6reren m\u00e5tte bestemme hva som presenteres som eksempler p\u00e5 samisk kultur. En m\u00e5te \u00e5 gj\u00f8re dette p\u00e5 er \u00e5 ta utgangspunkt i hva elevene kan fra f\u00f8r og legge til flere eksempler som viser variasjon. Da er det viktig \u00e5 inkludere b\u00e5de<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> tradisjonelle og moderne sider ved kulturen(e) som sammen danner et helhetlig og mangfoldig bilde. Eksempler p\u00e5 dette er hvis elevene uttrykker at samer kun finnes i Nord-Norge, kan et fokus p\u00e5 s\u00f8rsamiske omr\u00e5der bidra til \u00e5 utvide bildet. Her er det ogs\u00e5 viktig \u00e5 f\u00e5 frem at b\u00e5de s\u00f8r-, lule- og nordsamisk er offisielle spr\u00e5k i Norge. P\u00e5 samme m\u00e5te vil det v\u00e6re viktig \u00e5 snakke om andre tradisjonelle n\u00e6ringer, hvis det eneste elevene kjenner til er reindrift. Da vil det ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6re viktig \u00e5 inkludere at veldig mange samer ikke driver med tradisjonelle n\u00e6ringer i dag.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Et annet tips som kan gi undervisningen mer dybde, er \u00e5 inkludere lokal samisk kultur. For eksempel kan man unders\u00f8ke om det er<span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;font-size: 15px\"> lokale ressurssentre som kan bidra med opplegg til undervisningen. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">I tillegg til \u00e5 bygge kunnskap om elevenes lokalmilj\u00f8, kan lokal kultur og kunnskap bidra til at elevene f\u00e5r \u00f8kt forst\u00e5else for at det er ulikheter innen samisk kultur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>At elevene skal l\u00e6re om mangfold og variasjon, minner ogs\u00e5 om at den st\u00f8rre fortellingen om hva samisk kultur er og hva som ofte gjenfortelles av samisk historie, ikke n\u00f8dvendigvis er det den enkelte kjenner seg igjen i. P\u00e5 samme m\u00e5te vil bruk av personlige historier som en form for perspektivtaking i undervisningen, v\u00e6re eksempel p\u00e5 en samisk historie, men kan ikke generaliseres til \u00e5 gjelde en helhetlig samisk kultur eller hele den samiske historien. Dette er aspekter som kan p\u00e5virke hvordan man tenker rundt, planlegger og gjennomf\u00f8rer undervisningen. Om undervisningen er <em>av <\/em>urfolk eller ikke handler om din egen rolle som underviser og hvilke perspektiver du bringer med deg. Om det er <em>til<\/em> urfolk gjelder hvem som er publikummet, og det kan for mange, b\u00e5de i og utenfor S\u00e1pmi, v\u00e6re viktig \u00e5 minne seg p\u00e5 at det kan sitte samiske elever i alle klasserom. Undervisning <em>om <\/em>urfolk handler om innholdet i undervisningen, og om undervisningen er\u00a0<em>for\u00a0<\/em>urfolk eller ikke vil p\u00e5virke hvordan du tenker rundt undervisningen og hva m\u00e5let med undervisningen er. Dette er sp\u00f8rsm\u00e5l du kan stille deg selv som virker bevisstgj\u00f8rende.<\/p>\n<p>En lignende bevisstgj\u00f8ring kan vi f\u00e5 ved \u00e5 ta inspirasjon fra teorier om <a href=\"https:\/\/dembra.no\/no\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/11\/Dembra_artikkelsamling_2016_02_1korr.pdf\">demokratiundervisning<\/a> <a href=\"#referanser\">(4)<\/a> og se hvordan undervisningen kan v\u00e6re <em>om<\/em>, <em>gjennom<\/em> og <em>for<\/em> samiske perspektiver. Undervisningen vil v\u00e6re <em>om<\/em> samiske perspektiver, kultur og samfunn ved \u00e5 inkludere det som en naturlig del av undervisningen. Dette gj\u00f8res <em>for<\/em> utviklingen av verdier og holdninger som anerkjenner samiske perspektiver, og hvor elevene samtidig l\u00e6rer \u00e5 tenke kritisk b\u00e5de rundt det som l\u00e6res og den kunnskapen de har fra f\u00f8r. Undervisningen burde aktivt jobbe mot annengj\u00f8ring av samiske perspektiver. Dette kan gj\u00f8res <em>gjennom<\/em> \u00e5 bruke samiske perspektiver, kunnskap og metoder i undervisningen.
